Policies — Ridgefield Live & Local Music Festival
Ridgefield Live & Local Music Festival (“Ridgefield Live & Local,” “we,” “us”) is a walkable, downtown Ridgefield, WA multi-venue music festival. These policies exist to keep the event safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone—attendees, artists, venue partners, staff, and volunteers.
By attending, performing, volunteering, sponsoring, or participating as a venue partner, you agree to follow these policies and any reasonable instructions from festival staff and participating venue staff.
1) Code of Conduct
We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and inclusive environment.
- Be respectful and considerate of others.
- Follow instructions from festival staff, venue staff, security, and volunteers.
- Keep sidewalks, entrances, exits, and emergency routes clear.
- Treat performers, staff, and other attendees with professionalism and courtesy.
- Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind.
- Unwanted sexual attention, intimidation, stalking, or repeated disruption.
- Threats of violence, physical aggression, or encouraging others to harm someone.
- Deliberate interference with performances, event operations, venue operations, or staff.
- Destruction of property or theft.
- Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
2) Reporting Concerns
If you feel unsafe or witness behavior that violates these policies:
- Contact festival staff on-site (if available), or

- If there is an immediate safety threat, call 911.
We take reports seriously and will respond as quickly as practical.
3) Enforcement and Removal
Festival staff and venue staff may take action to maintain safety and event integrity, including:
- A warning
- Removal from a performance area or festival activity
- Removal from a participating venue
- Removal from the festival footprint for the remainder of the event
- Cancellation of an artist set
- Termination of a venue partnership (for serious or repeated issues)
- Contacting law enforcement as appropriate
Enforcement decisions may be made at the discretion of festival and/or venue staff depending on the situation. Participants asked to stop unacceptable behavior are expected to comply immediately.
4) Photo / Video Policy and Consent
The festival and participating venues may photograph, audio-record, and/or video-record during the event.
By attending or participating, you may appear incidentally in photo/video content.
The festival may use images and recordings for promotion and documentation (website, social media, press, and future marketing) without additional compensation.
If you have a specific concern (for example, minors in a performer group), contact info@ridgefieldliveandlocal.com in advance and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate.
5) Event Rules and Local/Venue Compliance
All attendees and participants must comply with applicable laws and each venue’s house rules.
- Do not block sidewalks, doors, exits, ramps, or fire lanes.
- Follow posted capacity limits and any entry control implemented by venues.
- Keep aisles and walkways clear of gear, cases, cables, and crowds.
- Alcohol service (if any) is managed exclusively by each participating venue under that venue’s policies and legal obligations.
- Attendees and participants must follow venue staff instructions related to entry, capacity, and conduct.
- The festival does not override venue management; venues maintain control of their premises.
- Performances must start and end at scheduled times.
- Festival performance curfew: 10:00 PM. We schedule sets accordingly to respect local quiet hours and the surrounding community.
- Washington State Department of Ecology
The festival generally runs rain or shine. We may delay, adjust, relocate, or cancel portions of the event due to safety concerns (including severe weather or emergencies).
6) Coordination Between Festival and Venues
For safety or Code of Conduct issues:
- The Organizer may request that a venue remove an attendee or participant from a venue or festival activity.
- Participating venues agree to cooperate with reasonable removal requests to protect safety and event operations, while maintaining final control of their premises and staff actions.
7) Artist Policies
- Arrive on time and be ready to perform at your scheduled set time.
- Respect festival staff, venue staff, volunteers, and other artists.
- Follow stage and sound guidance to keep sets on schedule.
- Daytime sets should be family-friendly.
- The festival may schedule higher-energy or mature content later in the evening.
- Artists are responsible for their instruments, pedals, and personal gear.
- The festival/venue will only provide equipment that is explicitly confirmed in advance.
- Artists must provide accurate tech needs (input list/stage plot/backline needs) by the festival’s communicated production deadline.
- Merch sales are subject to venue policies, space limitations, and local requirements. Coordinate in advance if you plan to sell merch.
- If you must cancel, notify us as soon as possible at info@ridgefieldliveandlocal.com.
- Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may affect future booking consideration.
- The festival may adjust schedules and venue assignments due to operational needs, weather, safety, or venue constraints. We will communicate changes as early as possible.
8) Accessibility and Inclusion
We aim to make Ridgefield Live & Local welcoming and accessible. If you have an accommodation request, contact info@ridgefieldliveandlocal.com ahead of the event and we will make reasonable efforts to assist.
